Fantasy Impact: Jeremy Maclin released by Chiefs, signed by Baltimore Ravens.

Jeremy Maclin was released by the Kansas City Chiefs and makes an immediate fantasy impact of several players on his former team.

So what does this do to the value of the rest of the Chiefs? Well, it certainly makes TE stud Travis Kelce's value go up as their obviously banking on his redzone ability.

It seems to bolster their confidence in Tyreek Hill. How much it affects his value is dependent on how your league scores. If you get points for return yardage, Hill is a no-doubt WR1. In standard scoring he's a middling WR2 with WR1 upside if he improves on his rookie campaign. Though one could argue that he'll probably eat-up the yardage and Kelce, Spencer Ware, or even Alex Smith himself take the TD points. I've seen him ranked from top 30 to as high as 17 on WR projection charts.

At this point, these are the only two pass catchers worth picking up until things develop.

How it affects Maclin is still up in the air until he lands somewhere. If Shady Mcoy has it his way, that will be in Buffalo with another game-manager style QB at the helm.

EDIT: 06/06/2017
Per Adam Schefter: Maclin is scheduled to meet with Buffalo today, with plans to visit Baltimore on Wednesday.

EDIT 06/09/17
Per Adam Schefter: Maclin left Baltimore without a deal.

EDIT 06/12?17
Per Schefty: Baltimore and Maclin have agreed to terms on a two year deal.

Fantasy Impact: At this point, the fantasy impact seems higher on the Kansas City side. I've read a lot of analysts that are favoring Tyreek Hill for the upside on this one, but I'm actually leaning more towards this being an uptick to Travis Kelce's value than Hills.
